Terms
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and LDM Business Consulting, who run Hopen2. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: hello@hopen2.com.
Who can use Hopen2
- You must be 18 or over.
- One account per person, with your real first name and date of birth.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
Keep it platonic, kind and safe
Hopen2 is for making friends and doing things together. It isn't a dating app. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, pressure or make anyone feel unsafe, online or in person;
- use Hopen2 for dating, hook-ups, selling, advertising or recruiting;
- post anything illegal, hateful, sexual or misleading, or anyone else's personal details;
- post events at private homes, or anywhere that isn't a public place;
- pretend to be someone else, or get round a block or a ban.
Meeting up
- Meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you're going, and use check-in and check-out.
- You decide whether to go and you're responsible for your own safety and behaviour. We don't check members' identities or backgrounds, and we can't guarantee how anyone will behave.
- If you're ever in danger, call the emergency services (999 in the UK, 112 in Spain) first.
- Report anything that worries you from the event page. Our admins read every report.
What you post
You own what you post. You let us show it to other members so Hopen2 works, for as long as it's on the service. We can remove anything that breaks these terms.
Suspending or closing accounts
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.
The service
Hopen2 is free and provided as it is. We'll try to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we may change or stop features. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Changes and the law
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app if the change matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, but if you live elsewhere you keep the protections of your local consumer law. How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
